Our First Trip to San Antonio

When we lived in Dallas, San Antonio was just a drive away. We basically head south on I35 and after a 4 hours trip, you’ll get to this lovely and fun destination.

This was my daughter’s and my first time in San Antonio which made it hard to see everything. As a matter of fact, I have not seen it all yet.

We stayed at The Emily Morgan San Antonio in downtown, close to The Alamo and that made it easy for us to walk to some of the activities in our must-see list.

We also got to experience the River Walk, a must visit site at this historic town.

One of the most visited attractions in San Antonio has to be The Alamo and both of my daughter and I had a lesson on Texas history, We got to see a lot of artifacts related to the battle and some of the remaining wall that still stands.

On our drive back we left a little early so we could stop by the Natural Bridge Caverns, a 3-hour tour about half a mile down a wild cave through passages that have not been changed in 45 years.

I have to say that some of the trails going down were a little scary, but my tribe loved it.

We had such a great time on this mini-vacation, it made me reminisce about how young my daughter look

Time to plan our next one.

  1. It’s so lovely that you guys get to travel and see so many things. My mother and father were the same with us when we were kids. We got to go on loads of holidays to France, Italy etc because my mum loved traveling. Reading your blog is bringing all those memories back 🙂

  2. San Antonio looks like it was a lot of fun and an amazing experience. I plan on visiting there myself one day in the future.
